The fable about the tortoise and the hare is not just a story.
To build a successful website, bet on ol' slow and steady Tortoise...and win. But to give you a true picture of our love for Site Sell as a Web Host (and Site Build It! as a website building program), I need to give you a brief Fred-history. Either you'll be thinking, yeah, I've had that experience, too...or you'll be able to avoid it altogether. And then we'll get to the beauty of SBI! Prior to September of 2007, I'd never built a website. Didn't have the slightest idea how it was done. But that month, I attended a Seminar that sold me on the concept. I quit my $75,000 a year truck driving job and dove in, full time. Procrastination, hesitation, these are not usually my shortcomings. Charging in where angels fear to tread, that's another matter. Within a matter of six weeks, I'd spent thousands of dollars (the program I'd joined was overpriced, under-effective, maybe even borderline unethical) and hundreds of hours without making a dime from my website. At that point (November 1, 2007), I switched gears, signed up with a second Web Host. Better in some ways, certainly cheaper, but still no incoming dimes or even pennies, and after three intense weeks, I discovered their program and my Windows Vista were incompatible. Ouch. So, I went surfing again, determined to find the RIGHT Web Host this time. And I did have advantages, now having done just enough website building, advertising, etc., to have at least part of a clue. That day, on November 22, I FOUND IT. My wife heard me yelling out from my office (the spare bedroom) to the living room, LAUGHING loudly and insisting that she HAD to come see the hilarious videos I'd come across. Enter the tortoise.

This is December 17, 2007. When I got up this morning and turned on the computer, I got a surprise: This SBI! website's primary keyword [poetic humor] had ROCKETED overnight on Yahoo Search from #75 to #5. Whoa! And I've been building this site for LESS THAN A MONTH! (This is known because signup date with Site Sell was November 22, 2007.) Tortoise, eh? Tortoise with a Turbocharger, this SBI! program; that's what I'M thinking. Okay, back to the original text: There are so many aspects involved in doing it right on the Internet...there's no way to cover them all on this page. But I can at least encourage you to click on this Tortoise link and take a look a few of the video clips that had me laughing from Moment One. And, I can point out that we believe in Site Build It! SO MUCH that there are at least two links to Site Sell's website on EVERY web page we have. (Those are at the bottom of each page, not pushy, but very much available.) Finally, let's add a bit about SUPPORT in the event you do eventually decide SBI! might be for you. Their website has great forums, where you can seek and find answers to the vast majority of questions that might come up. Furthermore, a simple email to company support personnel WILL get a timely and relevant answer.
But I'm going to take that a step farther. If you do sign up with Site Sell (I'm not saying you should or shouldn't; that's obviously your call.)...but if you DO, you have my word: I personally stand ready to answer any question(s) you might wish to send my way regarding building an SBI! website. -----------------Ten Advantages to a Site Build It! Website--------------- Note: There are WAY MORE than Ten Advantages, but these are the first ten that come to mind.... 1. You don't have to know anything to start out, not even one tortoise from another. SBI! leads you through it all, every step of the way, in the right order. 2. You don't have to sell to build a commercially successful site. (Instead you PreSell, which is a whole different breed of cat, and explained thoroughly in the guides and forums.) 3. With the Analyze It! tool provided, making sure every page is optimized for the Search Engines is a snap. (This is an amazing little subroutine, and truly invaluable.) 4. Using the Brainstormer tool, you can easily and simply choose your niche knowing IN ADVANCE the potential for profitability in your chunk of the market. Another amazing tool. Without it, you might not know if your tortoise was a reptile or a rabbit in the eyes of the Search Engines. WITH it, you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that every page you add is Search Engine friendly. 5. The program guides you (when it's the proper time and not before) to choose the PERFECT domain name for what you want to accomplish. 6. There are constant contests available with very nice rewards. 7. They not only HAVE an Affiliate Program, but it's actually by far the best I've seen on the entire Internet. 8. C.T.P.M., which is a concept far too rich and deep to cover on this page. VERY briefly, it follows the principle behind the movie Field Of Dreams. That is, build it RIGHT and they will come. 9. Ken Evoy (founder) and the other S.B.I.ers (including me, now that I'm beginning to get it) not only understand the Internet at a very deep level; they (and I) are able to communicate that knowledge to you/me. Old web host: Up to 10 minutes. S.B.I.!: About 5 seconds! A LITTLE more, sometimes. That's one place where things work like greased lightning, and that's a GOOD thing. ================================================================= Well, I've got to wrap this page up. When it comes to SBI!, it's hard to stop sharing, even at tortoise speed. Fortunately, I don't have to.
