Using cartoon humor allows a richer message to be delivered
Why be limited to what a realistic picture can convey? Well done cartoon humor allows a cartoonist to load his or her work with astounding levels of information. Not only that, but the cartoon has more potential to be STUDIED than does your basic chapter, page, or even paragraph of text.
Knowing this definitely influenced my decision to begin drawing a cartoon strip in 2004. That, and the regrettable truth that a close member of our family had crossbred meth usage and police contact, which does not a great hybrid make.
Thus was born the CLUCKERS Anti-Drug Cartoon Strip, which ran in newspapers here and there across the country for several years. It never received any circulation in our then-home-state of Montana, though, despite our best marketing efforts. Until now.
NOW the CLUCKERS message will be seen in Montana via the Internet, and we're deeply grateful for that. Our family member has been clean and straight for years, and we're even more grateful for THAT.
For more clean cartoons, feel free to click on either the cartoons above or the link below, and/or stop by once in a while. We'll be adding a new page to this section regularly. After all, drawing is as much fun as reading.
